Turn the work inside out, so that RS are facing each other.  Sew up the side seams up to the armhole.  Sew up shoulder seams.  Turn garment back to RS out.
Armhole edging:
Attach yarn to centre of underarm, at the side seam, ch1, sc in same st. (count your stitches.  You need to have the same amount on both armholes).
Row 1:  Sc evenly around the edge of the armhole, sl st to beg sc.  Change to Colour B.
Row 2:  Ch1, sc in same st and every stitch around, sl st to beg sc.  Change to Colour A.
Row 3:  Ch1, sc in same st and every stitch around, sl st to beg sc.  Fasten off.
Repeat Rows 1 to 3 on second armhole edge, making sure you have the same number of stitches on both armholes.
Neck Edging:
With Colour A, Attack yarn to centre of front “V” with a slip stitch.  Ch 4, (4, 5).
Row 1:  Sc in 2nd chain from hook, creating an overlapping “flap” for the front of the vest, and sc all the way around the neckline to the bottom of the V again.  Do not  join to flap.  Fasten off Colour A.  Go back to the Flap edge and attach Colour B.
Row 2:  Ch1, sc in same stitch and all the way around the neckline, coming back to the bottom of the V again on the other side.  Fasten off Colour B.  Go back to the Flap edge and attach Colour A again.
Row 3:  Ch1, sc in same stitch and all the way around the neckline, coming back to the bottom the V again.  Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.
Carefully and invisibly stitch the flap you made, crossing over the left front edging, so that it lies down smoothly, making a simple overlap.
Tidy up your ends, and your V-neck vest is done.
