These lovely textured boot cuffs are very easy to make and can be worn with the ribbing at the bottom or at the top - you choose!
Extra Small 9-10” circumference; 5.5” height
Small 12-14” circumference; 6” height
Medium 14-16” circumference 6” height
Large 16-18” circumference 6.5” height
Extra Large 18-20” circumference 6.5” height
100g Worsted Weight yarn (#4); 5mm (H/8) hook; yarn needle.
sc = single crochet; hdc = half double crochet; fphdc = front post half double crochet; dc = double crochet; ch = chain; sl st = slip stitch; rep = repeat; beg = beginning; blo = back loop only; RS = right side of work
Pattern is written in US terms; a conversion chart is included at the end.
Row 1: With 5mm (H/8) hook, chain 10 sts; sc in 2nd chain from hook and to the end. Turn. (9)
Row 2: Ch1, sc in blo of every stitch across to end. Turn. (9)
Repeat Row 2 until you have worked a total of 29 (35, 41, 45, 51) rows.
Fold to bring the short ends together, right sides facing, and slip stitch to join. Turn them back over so that you are now working on the RS..
Chain 1, sc around the top of the ribbing, in each stitch around. (29, 35, 41, 45, 51) sts
Main Body of cuff:
Row 1: ch1, hdc in same st as ch1, *fphdc in next st; hdc in next st; rep from * to end. Sl st to beg hdc.
Row 2: Ch1, fphdc in same st as ch 1; *hdc in next st; fphdc in next st; rep from * to end. Sl st to beg fphdc.
Repeat Rows 1 and 2 to 5” (5.5”, 6”, 6.5”, 7”) or desired length.
Ch 1, sc in each stitch around. 29 (35, 41, 45, 51) sts
Row 1: Ch1, (sc, hdc, dc) in same st; sk 2 sts; *(sc, hdc, dc) in next st; sk 2 sts; rep from * to end, sl st to beg sc.
Row 2: Ch1, (sc, hdc, dc) in space under ch 1; sk next 3 sts; *(sc, hdc, dc) in next space between clusters, sk 3 sts; rep from * to end, sl st to beg sc. Fasten off.
Attach yarn to back seam at the other end of the cuff, ch1, sc in same st and in every stitch around. Sl st to beg sc.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
